11.11am, 11.11.07

11AM of November 11th

Do you know what that is? It’s the time when the WWI ended in 1918. And it became the World Peace Day. It is a holiday in many countries in the Western World, but few people know it in Japan.

They ask:
"If you are in your workplace, on the road, if you are with your loved one, on November 11th at 11:11AM please say “Thank you, Mother Earth” “May the peace prevail on Earth”.
You can then either sing, dance, say a prayer, work, meditate… You are free to express the prayer of gratitude in your own way."

In Nara Park today and tomorrow there is a peace festival. If you're in the area, why not go and visit?

Thankyou

Firstly, thankyou to everyone who input their energies and their wishes for Burma. I've got no idea if it did make any subtle changes on an energetic level, or whether doing something like a collective prayer for the same outcome really can make an impact. But in more easily monitorable experiments it is clear that focused attention does bring results, so we can only hope.

Regardless of whether or not it really helps at all to do something like a "Wish Project", it does feel good and right to take some time to put positive energy into the Universe, instead of just wasting time on the internet, or some other such worthless activity.

Thankyou again

THE WISH PROJECT

A year ago, while lying on a beach in Rio de Janeiro, I realised something quite odd. When you stare at somebody who's relaxing with their eyes closed, and say over in your head "Open your eyes, I'm looking at you!", usually people will respond and open their eyes, immediately staring back at you. Give it a try.

I found this phenomenon quite bizarre, and decided to extend testing. With friends, we made an experiment. We stood on top of a building roof, overlooking the street. Nobody noticed us, nobody looked up - we were pretty much out of sight.

We tried to focus our intent together. Three of us picked one person together, and all of us stared at him as he walked past far down below us. We all said in our heads "Look up, we're staring at you!". Low and behold, the man looked up. We repeated the experiment and it worked.

I've seen in my own life that when INTENT is focused, results manifest. We have an expression in English that says "Be careful what you wish for, because it might come true". I've seen this happen too many times.

So, I was given the idea to start a Wish Project.
(I'm getting strong Deja Vu while writing at this moment, by the way)

Once per week, at a certain time I'm going to ask everyone I know, to, just for a few moments, join me in wishing for the same thing. Whether it be world peace, consciousness change, saving the rainforests, or something more simple like happiness and health for particular individuals, I would like it to be positive and helpful. We live in troubled times, and every little bit of positive energy put out there helps.

So, if anybody would like to join me, please lend a few moments of positive thoughts for change - whether through prayer, meditation, contemplation, ceremony or simply thinking about it and giving a wish.

The first wish project shall be to wish for peace and freedom in Burma. I will be wishing for this at this time:
Tokyo (Japan)Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 10:00 AM
London (U.K. - England)Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 2:00 AM
New York (U.S.A. - New York)Monday, October 1, 2007 at 9:00 PM
Los Angeles (U.S.A. - California)Monday, October 1, 2007 at 6:00 PM
Corresponding UTC (GMT)Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at 01:00

I hope you'll join me!
Any suggestions for the next wish project are welcome!
